The Yupiteru MVT-7300 is the latest of Yupiteru's very successful MVT-7 scanner series. It is the most compact and well-equipped of this range to date. This receiver has a frequency coverage of 0.521-1320 MHz and multimode reception (NFM, WFM, NAM, WAM, USB, LSB, CW). It is well suited to aircraft, marine, ham radio and broadcast transmissions, to name but a few.
The search speed of the Yupiteru MVT-7300 is 30 steps per second, whilst the scan speed is 30 channels per second. There are 16 programmed steps including the new 8.33kHz for airband. This unit has 1000 normal memory channels (10 banks of 100), 500 pass band channels and one priority channel.
A useful feature of the Yupiteru MVT-7300 is the duplex receiving capability. In some radio conversations the participants operate on two different frequencies (split frequency operation). The duplex receiving feature makes it easy to alternate between these frequencies such that both sides of the conversation can be heard.
Other useful features of this scanner include a descrambler for deciphering certain transmissions, a multi-colour display (can be changed between yellow, green and orange), a clone function for transferring memory contents to other Yupiteru MVT-3300 units, and a clock with various timer functions.
This unit can be powered by either alkaline dry cells or Ni-Cads. Alternatively it can be run off either the mains using an AC adaptor, or a 12V car battery using an optional cigarrete light plug.
Other features include: Channel lockout - 2 second scan delay key - key illumination - 3 day memory backup - selectable scanning modes.
