The Uniden UBC-220XLT is a relatively easy to use scanner that contains plenty of features including 200 memory channels and 10 memory banks. This scanner has 12 bands with aircraft and service search. Like the UBC-180XLT this model has twin turbo search and scan, enabling scanning at 100 channels per second and searching at either 100 or 300 steps per second.
With the UBC-220XLT you can quickly reach your desired channel using the manual channel access feature. Additionally you can keep track of a specific channel whilst monitoring other transmissions due to the option to assign 10 priority channels. To ensure that your favourite memories aren't lost a backup feature retains them for 3 days when the unit is without batteries. Other features include data skip, for skipping unwanted transmissions, and channel lockout, for skipping specific channels.
The UBC-220XLT can be powered with either a rechargeable Ni-Cd battery pack (allows 12hrs use is close squelch position) or via the mains.
