The UBC-280XLT is Uniden's european sports scanner. It is ideal for listening in to race drivers communicating with pit teams but can also be used as a traditional scanner.
This scanner has a frequency coverage of 25-956MHz (with gaps) and programmable modes of AM, NFM and WFM. Like many other uniden scanners it has turbo scan and search, which allows a scan rate of 100 channels per second and a search rate of either 100 or 300 steps per second. With built in CTCSS and CDCSS decode facilities one can receive selective reception of commercially coded transmissions.
The UBC-280XLT has 200 memory channels and over 10 bands. It also has 10 priority channels and direct scan channel access.
This model can be powered using 12V DC external power or a 4.8V nicad battery pack.
